And there are still two months to go…….
So I have been meaning to write this for sometime now as it has certainly been a whopper of a year at The Boutique and on reflection we have achieved so much. It has only been recently when in conversation with one of our clients that it really dawned on me quite how much. It has been one of the most exciting years so far in this amazing journey and we have had some of the best experiences with clients new and old to witness and support us along the way.
With the end of 2018, beginning of 2019 bringing two new Boutique babies, as wonderful as it was it saw us lose a couple of great team members but it also gained us the ever so wonderful Kristina and Siobhan who are now well established and respected members of the team and for the cherry on the cake we have most recently got back our lovely Laura from maternity who has settled back in like she has never been gone.
The biggest change my far was in May of this year where we re-branded from The Beauty Boutique to AMY GORDON Skin Clinic and Beauty Boutique giving ourselves a slick new image to resonate who we are and what we have grown into. Our Skin Clinic underwent expansion and throughout the year we brought on the fabulous COMCIT Elite machine by Crystal Clear enabling us to offer Microdermabrasion, Mirconeedling and Oxygen Therapy and later in the, year Dermalux Light Therapy and Advanced Blemish Removal. Into 2020 we will launch our Advanced IPL treatments which we will focus mainly on the reduction of Acne Scarring and pigmentation.
The Skin specialists of our team underwent further training in Anatomy and Physiology and Microneedling to gain prestigious Level 4 awards and continue to grow their higher education in Advanced Skincare.
With the re-brand we also launched ‘AMY GORDON Advanced Beauty Training’. This was born out of a pure love for what we do and a desire to train to the very high standards the up and coming therapists in the industry and equally to be able to train our own in everything we do, the way we do it and way we like it done!
This led us to writing and having accredited our first training course in Intimate Waxing to which we now run small and/or one to one training sessions for anyone wanting to be trained by the best and to become the best intimate waxer’s. We will continue to develop this area and create training courses for therapists to learn advanced techniques in niche areas and treatments that out therapists are at the top of their skill set in.
After many years being experienced lash technicians in the beauty industry we also thought the time was right to launch our own lash extensions and after agonizing over many a lash and team testing sessions and trials we have the perfect lash extensions designed and created for the AMY GORDON brand.
So I am sure there is so much more I have missed and as I said the year is not over yet so who knows what else we can manage but the time 2020 comes around but we have certainly enjoyed every minute and look forward to our 8th year at 22 North Hill.
